Set within the 350,000 acres that make up Tanzania’s Grumeti Reserve along the western corridor of Serengeti National Park, Singita Milele is an exclusive-use villa located high up on a secluded spot of Sasakwa Hill overlooking the iconic plains.
Overview
Offering a large group of friends or families a front-row seat to the Serengeti’s best wildlife spectacles, including the Great Migration, Singita Milele is the latest addition to Singita’s Private Villa Collection. It consists of five suites accommodating up to 10 guests, complete with terraces and decks, dressing rooms, outdoor showers and private spa pools. The open and large communal areas include a boma, outdoor yoga and wellness sala, firepit, and infinity pool. Milele is an excellent example of understated luxury, combining all of the home-like comforts with a highly personalised service to deliver the signature Singita experience.
Food & service
The food and service at Singita Milele is first-class. With a special emphasis on the independence afforded its guests, the house has its own dedicated team: a guide, chef, butler and housekeeping. The food is excellent, and the wine is some of the finest in the world (wine lovers can arrange private wine tastings guided by a world-class Singita sommelier). Meals are served inside, at the dining table, outside, on the veranda, or in the privacy of one’s suite. The service is professional, friendly, and extraordinarily discrete.
Rooms
Every detail of the residence is designed to give a feeling of ultra exclusivity and being as close to nature as possible. Its five individually designed suites – Journey, Pride, Coalition, Dazzle and Crash – each have outdoor showers, a bar deli, a private deck and an en-suite bathroom, but all with their own unique layout, featuring lounge areas, dressing rooms and workspaces. Its contemporary furnishings, beautiful pieces of art, floor-to-ceiling windows and enormous sundecks (including a telescope for stargazing, heated spa tubs and a pool table) create a space that matches the expansive Grumeti landscape. Indoor and outdoor lounges are set with fireplaces, and the outdoor sala, traditional bomas, and a 10-person cinema room. Then there’s the mammoth infinity pool!
Activities
Guests can expect a fully immersive and personalised stay, from daily activities – private wildlife drives, guided walks, bush picnics, and stargazing sleepouts – to wellness treatments and workouts in a fully equipped fitness centre, as well as film nights in the 10-person cinema room.
