Singita has completely renovated Sweni lodge in Kruger National Park, South Africa. Andy Purvis, writing for the Telegraph’s Ultratravel magazine is one of its first guests.

Whilst Purvis is impressed with Singita’s  ability to once again produce a lodge of outstanding quality, attention to detail and total luxury, he reminds us of the main reason people come to the Kruger: the wildlife. Singita’s concession shares all the pros of the sheer diversity of wildlife and high octane big-five-type safari experience with the Kruger without the cons of having to share it with a hundred other tourists vying for space: it is a private concession and only Singita’s other lodges in its South African Portfolio allowed access to the 33,000-acre concession. Purvis describes his first 48 hours like being midst of an Attenborough documentary.

Journeys by Design plans tailor-made luxury African Safaris to Singita’s portfolio. Do have a read or to plan a similar trip please get in touch with on of our destination specialists.
