Overview

Situated within walking distance of Place des Martyrs Cotonou and the Monument Amazone, Le Karé Ebène consists of eight suites and superior rooms in total. The shared areas include a lounge, two restaurants, a terrace opening up to a large garden and a swimming pool. Characterised by bright and colourful decor, the interior’s overall style is playful yet modern. Outside, there is a large pool under a cherry blossom tree and a lush garden – a favourite spot to hang out and relax.

Food & service

Service is first-class, as is the food. The hotel’s restaurant menu is varied, serving African stews, sandwiches, lasagne and pasta dishes, grilled meats, salads and a simple selection of desserts including the much-loved crêpes. A complementary buffet-style breakfast of pastries, fruits, freshly squeezed juices and an English fry-up is served every morning. Le Karé Ebène’s resident sushi bar Kobe is also deemed one of the best sushi spots in Cotonou.

Rooms

There are eight rooms in total at Le Karé Ebène, including two superior rooms with a double bed, a spacious ensuite bathroom and a view of the garden, and one deluxe superior room located on the ground floor with a living room and a large terrace. The two junior suites are upstairs with a double bed, living room area, spacious ensuite bathroom and a terrace overlooking the garden. There are three spacious deluxe suites ideal for families with a king-sized bed, an all-marble ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a lounge area, and a private terrace.

Activities

Activities at Le Karé Ebène include historical and cultural tours into the city, lounging around the pool. Please note that the property also holds events, though never at the expense of the guests’ comfort and privacy.
