For those of us who have never been, we may be forgiven thinking Africa a place of war, of famine, and of poverty – such is its portrayal in the news. Like the rest of the world, it is sometimes and intermittently these. However, like the rest of the world, it is also so much more. It is a place of great history and great civilisation. It is a place of change, of innovation, and of growth. It is a place of cities and wildernesses and everything in between. It is a place of similarities and of difference. It is where we began, and it is the home of our future.
In a very small way, we try to represent this Africa in our newsletters, blogs, and press stories, largely through the lens of travel and conservation. Look out for three short welcome notes, introducing you to everything we do. Rest assured, we will not be spending our time blamming you with emails. We send out a monthly newsletter, a quarterly Destination Africa, and every once in a while a letter when we have something worth passing on.
