Feted by Conde Nast Traveller as being one of Africa’s most beautiful houses, Arijiju is the perfect private venue for practitioners and small groups looking to host an exclusive Africa wellness retreat.

Originally designed as a sanctuary for its owners, your Arijiju experience is so well catered it makes for a stay as effortless as it is luxurious. As well as five hours a day of spa treatment, which includes hammam and water ritual facilities, it’s an experience that includes anything from jogging or riding through the bush, to yoga on a deck situated overlooking the most extraordinary views of Mt Kenya, to tennis played in equally beautiful surrounds, to simply lazing about in the property’s 20m infinity lap pool.

Away from the more dynamic aspects of the stay, Arijiju is a deeply holistic experience. Natural ingredients are locally sourced and organically farmed, and include their blends of essential oils, body scrubs and masks. In-room products are the botanically-based Aesop brand. Home-grown produce and fresh daily juices, healthy dishes recommended by their in-house nutritionist, ensure a balanced and highly vibrant menu.

Meanwhile, your fitness and wellbeing schedule is wonderfully complemented by the attractions of the conservancy itself, with guided walks, wildlife drives and conservation-centric activities so well done as to remind us all of our connection to this ancient land and its inhabitants.

Do note that, if required, the property comes with two spa therapists, a yoga instructor, a personal trainer, and a nutritionist. However, groups are welcome to bring their own. Either way, Arijiju will leave you feeling healthier, stronger and beautifully in touch – with yourself, your hosts and the land itself.
