Located in Nyasirori, a remote and game-rich region in the western corridor of the Serengeti, and owned and run by the brilliant Legendary Expeditions, Mila Tented Camp is an excellent base for the most extraordinary wildlife viewing year-round.
Overview
Mila Tented Camp consists of the main lodge, two dining areas offering indoor or al-fresco dining, and six private sleeping tents. All suites are of the highest quality with the overall set-up a perfect balance of minimal and comfortable, where neutral tones and natural materials meet to create a warm and welcoming space. Wifi is available in both the main areas and guest tents.
The option of booking the camp on an exclusive-use basis is available — perfect for an intergenerational family or a small group of friends.
Food & service
Service at Mila Tented Camp is as excellent as one would expect given Legendary Expeditions’ high standards, an example being their high-end Mwiba Lodge, and guests can expect the cuisine at Mila to be simple but well-prepared, varied, flexible and always tasty.
Rooms
There are only five en-suite tents and one en-suite family tent at Mila, offering travellers complete privacy during their stay. The double tented suites include a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom and private veranda, and the family suite consists of two double en-suite rooms connected by a shared living space. The decor is a fine blend of function and luxury, using premium linens and textiles in a subdued colour palette inspired by the surrounding nature.
Activities
Mila’s close proximity to the Grumeti riverine forest, where some of the world’s largest crocodiles can be found, along with some of the country’s largest lion prides, makes it a prime location for unique wildlife viewing. Activities include privately-guided wildlife drives, guided walks and sundowners.
