The hotel’s second, and highly popular restaurant, Teppanyaki, offers outstanding Japanese cuisine prepared in an open kitchen for guests’ entertainment. The Skybar is Novotel’s much-loved rooftop bar offering spectacular panoramic views across Antananarivo. Service style is polite, professional and helpful.

As expected, doubles and twins are slightly smaller than suites, while still offering well-equipped en suites, lounging area, and desk. Tsarasaotra Bird Park is a sanctuary for protected wetland birds within walking distance of the hotel. The historical heart of the capital is a short taxi ride away where visitors can enjoy the charming architecture of Antananarivo’s French colonial period. The Royal Palace Complex of Madagascar’s former sovereigns is also essential site-seeing, as is the revered Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
