Service & food
The homely food – breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner – uses a range of fresh local produce and is beautifully presented. Staff are warm and welcoming; the service outstanding throughout the camp.
Rooms
The airy safari-style sleeping tents are coloured in hues of dark green and furnished with a king-size bed, wardrobe and authentic teak chairs. Each have their own private wooden veranda from which to admire the surrounding landscapes, a flushing toilet and hot shower. The tented communal deck area is ideal for relaxing, eating and exchanging notes with fellow travellers, while the library – complete with sofas, dimmed lamps and stacks of local books – is a fantastic resource for learning more about the Okavango Delta. There is also a dedicated Wi-Fi zone, so guests can catch up on important emails and messages.
Activities
Activities available at the camp are varied and make the most of the unique Okavango Delta region. Guests can expect to embark on day and night wildlife drives – expect to catch a sight of lions, wild dogs, leopards and elephants – birdwatching, walking tours and traditional wooden mokoro safaris along the waterways.
Impact
Gomoti Plains’s electricity is produced using a hybrid of solar energy and a back-up generator, and appliances and light bulbs across the camp are low energy.
