Just a very quick note to say how honoured we – both Journeys by Design and Wild Philanthropy, together with Namibia’s Ongava Lodge and Huab Under Canvas – are to have one of our safaris auctioned off at this year’s up and coming Save the Rhino Autumn Dinner.
Save the Rhino is an excellent charity, works across sub-Sahara Africa, and supports highly successful programmes in the likes of Ol Jogi and Borana in Kenya, Mkomazi National Park in Tanzania, North Luangwa in Zambia, and in northwest Namibia, to name a few. The fundraiser’s a major event, its ninth, takes place in London, at the Honourable Artillery Company, this Thursday. It promises to be a fine occasion.
The five-night itinerary will involve tracking rhino on foot, and is sure to suit all, be the winner a first-time-on-safari adventurer or someone who travels yearly to one or more of the continent’s wildernesses.
So, please, bid away – and if not on our safari, then there are many different ways to support the charity’s work. It’s too short notice now, of course, but perhaps we’ll see you next year, at the next dinner, which being the tenth Autumn Dinner is sure to be something extra special.
