Kim Lincoln with Zu’/hoasi Bushmen-and-women at Jacks Camp in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

Born in Botswana, Kim grew up in Maun exploring the Okavango Delta and its surrounding areas as her playground. From the start, her adventurous spark and love for the bush has resulted in a desire to share this with others as well as the need to preserve these wonderous areas of Africa that she is proud to call home. She joined Journeys by Design in 2022.

After completing her hospitality studies in Cape Town, Kim ventured further afield and fulfilled a lifelong dream of living in the Masaai Mara, Kenya, and has since worked in camp management, designing safari itineraries for a UK travel company, and running a small travel agency in Maun. Given all this, her childhood, her deep experience in almost every part of the industry, it’s safe to say that Kim lives and breathes the life of safari.

Now happily settled back in Maun, on the banks of Thamalakane River, Kim works for Journeys by Design as providing support for Kyle and the wider team, designing itineraries, helping with logistics, and advising on pro guide and exploration specialist strategy.

Highly organized, super detailed, and a big picture thinker, Kim’s a wonderful addition to the team, and we’re enormously grateful that she has chosen to work with us.
